1. What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of locating and correcting interference in the nervous system through specific gentle chiropractic adjustments thus allowing the body to function at its optimal level
2. What is an adjustment?
An adjustment is fast and non-painful. It is a specific, non-invasive "thrust" given by several different techniques. A "manual adjustment" is given by hand. An instrument called the activator can also be used to give an adjustment.
3. Will my adjustment hurt?
No! In fact, most of our practice members experience immediate relief from their symptoms. We adjust numerous patients ranging in age from one week to ninety five years.
4. Can you help my sick child?
Children respond incredibly well to chiropractic care. We have many children that get adjusted to maintain their health. A sick child will can heal faster through the use of chiropractic care.
5. How many times do I have to come?
Each practice member is unique on every level; therefore, it is virtually impossible to predict how many adjustments you will require to reach your health goals.
6. Will I feel better after getting an adjustment?
Many people feel relief from pain almost immediately after an adjustment. We are excited with and for those people whose body quickly responds in this manner. Chiropractic is not focused on treating diseases, but rather to enhance the healing potential of all practice members. There are numerous scientific studies that suggest those receiving chiropractic care experience a 200% increase in immuno-competence (stronger immune system) as well as a host of other benefits not limited to but including: increased energy and stamina, increased metabolism, increased mental acuity, and greater ability to cope with stress.
7. Will chiropractic care be expensive?
Chiropractic care at Star Chiropractic is very affordable. Investing in your health is the greatest way to put your hard earned cash to use. Without your health, not much else matter. We have several different options to choose from to keep the costs down for you as an individual, or family. We at Star Chiropractic pride ourselves on the ability to work with our practice members to find an affordable plan while still providing the best care possible.
8. What services do you offer?
We offer a state-of-the-art chiropractic care utilizing a combination of manual and activator adjustments. We offer health talks to our practice members, or their friends and family, to learn more chiropractic and its application. We can also work with our patients to determine what nutrition and exercise programs will best complement your care plan.
9. How long will it take to get adjusted?
Even the busiest practice members commit to making chiropractic care a priority in their lives, and find the benefit well worth their time. Your regular appointment will take about ten minutes, that's it! If you would like extra one-on-one time with Dr. Adam to discuss a particular issue, we are happy to schedule according to your needs.
10. What if I feel fine after treatment, do I need to come back?
This is always up to you. It has been our experience that those who stop care when they "feel fine" end up returning with the same issue. At this point we have to begin your care plan again to correct the problem. We find that those practice members choosing to continue a regular care plan find that their problem rarely, if ever, returns and they enjoy a higher quality of life and health.
